Applications
The LSI SAS 9210-8i host bus adapter provides high performance for internal drive connections in 1U and 2U servers and workstations. The LSI SAS 9210-8i provides 8-channel 6Gb/s SAS and is matched with 8-channel PCI Express 2.0 5Gb/s performance to eliminate bottlenecks. The performance is based on the LSISAS2008 IO controller, which highly integrates the latest enhanced features of PCI Express and SAS technology. HBA supports up to 256 SAS or SATA devices.
The LSI SAS 9210-8i features two (x4) internal mini SAS connectors (SFF8087) placed vertically, enabling a slim solution that provides SAS and SATA data transfer rates of 1.5, 3, and 6Gb/s per channel through automatic speed negotiation. It can achieve over 320000 IOPs. Enhanced features include the T-10 protection information model for early detection and recovery of data corruption, as well as the spread spectrum clock (SSC) for minimizing EMI
